Terms of Use
1. What the service is
V Seti is an app with a single switch. When it is on, some services go out through our node and all other traffic goes direct and stays unchanged. Which services those are is defined in the app and changes over time: we add and remove entries as the services themselves change.
It is a routing tool. It does not promise or provide anything beyond what is described — which apps take which path out to the internet. Everything else, including what happens inside the services themselves, is outside our control.
2. Your account
No account is needed to start: the app generates a key on the device and begins working — with the full set of services for the first seven days, one week per device. An account exists so the days you have left can move to another device or be recovered. On iPhone that is Sign in with Apple; on Android it is the device key plus a one-time recovery code shown once.
Keep that recovery code yourself. We hold only its hash and cannot reconstruct the original — which is a direct consequence of not storing more than we need.
3. Acceptable use
Use the service in line with the law that applies to you. You may not:
- send spam or run bulk mail through our nodes;
- scan other people's networks, brute-force credentials, or take part in denial-of-service attacks;
- distribute malware;
- host or transmit child sexual abuse material;
- resell access, share one account with unrelated people, or create accounts programmatically;
- deliberately degrade the service for others.
We may suspend or close an account used that way. It is better to say plainly how that works: we cannot see the contents of your traffic and we keep no per-user record of connections, so we learn about abuse mostly from complaints sent to whoever owns the address, and from the state of the node itself. That makes the instrument a blunt one — up to taking an address out of service entirely — and if it caught you by mistake, write to us: we will sort it out and refund you.
4. Days, devices and cancellation
- There are no tiers. One set of services, the same for everyone. There are only days: while there are days the app turns on, and when they run out it stops — which affects nothing else your phone does.
- The first week — 7 days from the moment you install it, one week per device, no card and no account.
- Invitations — 30 days for every person who joins with your code on a new device, and 30 for them. One code, as many people as you like, no cap.
- A second device — 30 days from the same account. While you have fewer than that, a device cannot be added.
- Payment — will come later and will add the same days. Until it does, nothing can be charged: there is no subscription, no renewal and no card on file anywhere in the service.
- Cancellation — there is nothing to cancel. Days simply run out, and nothing renews itself.
5. Invitations
When somebody enters your code on a new device, you both receive 30 days, and you receive them straight away. The code is one code and it does not burn out: there is no limit on how many people can join with it.
The credit is granted once per device and only for a real device. Days for accounts created for yourself, automatically or in bulk are not granted: those credits are held for a person to look at, and clear abuse can close the account. You cannot enter your own code, and you cannot enter the code of somebody who has already entered yours.
6. Availability, and what we cannot promise
The service is provided as is. We work to keep it running continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or any particular speed: the route crosses networks we do not operate.
Explicitly: we do not promise that the route will come up on every network at every moment. The state of a mobile network is not ours to command, and there are times when the app cannot confirm the route. When that happens it says so plainly and does not show a green dot — an indicator that cannot tell the two states apart is worse than no indicator. On fixed-line and Wi-Fi connections this happens noticeably less.
The set of services, the nodes, ports and addresses may change without prior notice. That is normal operation, not a change to these terms.
7. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time inside the app. We may close it for a breach of section 3. If we shut the service down we announce it in advance; if payment exists by then, charging stops before the announcement and the unused balance is refunded.
8. Liability
To the extent the applicable law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid over the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, or data loss on the side of the services you connect to. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We show material changes in the app before they take effect and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.
